Abstract

Dealing with challenges in present epidemiological, economic, technological and social changes in Thailand, it is important to establish and strengthen country monitoring and evaluation system in assessing government policy responses to address obesity and NCDs. In particular, the government performances in implementing food environment policies and actions should be assessed. However, Thailand still lacked clear evidenceon how much progress the Thai Government had made in implementing food environment policies and actions. This project helped fill this evidence gap by offering information for policy makers and relevant stakeholders to inform the government progress in implementing food environment policies, including a consensus set of priority policy actions for the Thai Government.
